Filip Černý

Filip Černý (b. 1975, Prague) studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts with Prof. Jiří Sopko. His work moves between the seen and the imagined — between a readable sign and its transformation into a puzzle. He does not settle for transcribing what is observed; he selects essential forms, isolates them, and composes a new imaginative world. The painting becomes a scene where vision constantly redefines itself.

Still life, interior, figure, abstract shape or everyday object are not fixed motifs but segments that shift, deform and reassemble. Curator Petr Vaňous describes this as the ability to create a new pictorial world rather than merely copying visible reality.

Filip Černý (*1975, Praha) vystudoval malbu na AVU u prof. Jiřího Sopka. Jeho malba se dlouhodobě pohybuje mezi viděným a myšleným — mezi srozumitelným znakem a jeho proměnou v hádanku. Netíží se pouhým přepisem spatřeného: vybírá podstatné tvary, osamostatňuje je a skládá z nich nový imaginativní svět. Obraz je scénou, kde se vidění neustále znejisťuje v napětí mezi zaostřením, rozmazáním a tím, co si divák musí domyslet.

Zátiší, interiér, figura, abstraktní tvar i banální předmět nejsou u něj stabilní motivy, ale segmenty, které se přesouvají, deformují a znovu skládají. Kurátor Petr Vaňous tuto charakteristiku pojmenovává jako schopnost vytvářet nový obrazový svět — nikoli jen přepisovat viděnou skutečnost.
